Yes, it's a real cremation urn and personalized in mosaic, a fitting tribute to our elected officials whose primary bipartisan activity seems to be getting caught in sexual scandals.   

In the assemblage of tiny mirrors, Sakura Colonial Spirit of the Flag plates designed by Warren Kimble, Blue Liberty and Coventry Liberty plates are 1" photo images (behind glass) of John Edwards, John Ensign, Mark Sanford, Rudy Giuliani, Bill Clinton and others who held office and other things, doing it, "because I can."

Red, white and blue glass tiles add a decidedly American touch.  Bright white grout.  Glass interior.
